Does my child need to be potty trained?

No. But we will be working on potty training if you do enroll your child.

Do you have a yard?

Yes. We have a large yard with a swing set, sandbox, playhouse, bikes and more. we will be installing garden boxes soon. See Gallery for photos.

What is your student to teacher ratio?

We can have up to 30 students at a time. The legal ratio is 1 teacher to 12 children. At Room To Bloom we maintain a ratio of 1 teacher to 9 children. We will usually have 3 teachers present at a time.

Do I have to enroll five days per week?

No. We require that you enroll at least two days per week.  We are flexible about scheduling and will work to meet each families individual needs.

Is your facility secure?

Some parents are concerned that the site is located right on Main Street. We have taken precautions to ensure that your children are safe when at Room To Bloom. We have built a wall with a second door inside the front entrance. This door is secured with a child lock as well as a bell. Staff have been instructed to monitor the door if they ever hear the bell. Children are never left unattended in the front room or any other area of the preschool. The yard is also fenced off. Children cannot exit any part of the building without adult assistance.

Do You serve food?

We serve a snack at 10, which usually includes a grain (oatmeal, quinoa, polenta, rice) and fruit.
We serve lunch at 12, which includes a fruit and veggie, a protein, a grain and Milk. The menu is posted weekly. We serve an additional snack at 3 during the afternoon program.

Do you adhere to food allergies/preferences?

Many families are very particular about their food. We will make sure that food preferences are followed. We use all organic fruit, vegetables, milk, and eggs. We serve whole grains and limited sugar. We steer clear from items containing high fructose corn syrup and preservatives. When baking we use Organic evaporated cane juice and organic flour. We also understand and will accommodate vegan, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and refined sugar free diets.

Do you offer care for parents who work full time?

Yes.  One of the goals of our facility is to offer  an affordable, high quality preschool program for working parents. The AM and PM classes are led by different teachers, so your child will not have to repeat the same curriculum twice in one day.  You may enroll for an 8:30-5:30 slot.
