This is our mat room that will also serve as a nap room in the afternoon. Children can work out some energy here as they explore the balance beam, wedge, dome and carnival barrel.
This is the circle rug and library area where we will have large group. There are many books available for the children and a whole toy box full of puppets to practice storytelling.
This is our block area which holds, large and small blocks, cars, trucks a train table and a 4ft doll house. Children can play here for hours building math, social and science skills.
This is the writing center. Here children can work with scissors, glue, pens, crayons, beads, and more as they build the fine motor skills required to begin writing.
Nestled under the loft, is the dramatic play area. This is always a favorite area for all children. Hours are spent building social skills, attention spans, initiating leadership and role playing, and of course having fun. There is a play kitchen, fire truck, babies, strollers, dishes, doctor kits, tea sets and more.
Here is the loft above the dramatic play area. It will be a soft and quiet place that children can use to get away from the activity below.
This is the manipulative area where children will find puzzles, lacing, sorting, counting, a sand/activity table and many more activities that help to build early math skills. Measuring, patterning, geometry, and counting can all be practiced here while enjoying engaging, fun and developmentally appropriate games.
There is an additional art area located in the kitchen where children can paint, work on the chalkboard and engage in messier art activities. These large tables will also be used for snack.
There are child sized toilets to encourage potty training and build self-help skills. Everything in the bathroom is at child level allowing the kids to do it all themselves. Of course a teacher will always be there to assist when needed.
YES we have a YARD!!!! There is ample room to play, a sandbox, swing set, play house, tricycles and lots of room to ride.
In addition, the yard also has an outdoor eating and art area.
