AIDE
Position: Teacher Aide
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age, or a High School graduate.
At least 6 units in CD or ECE.
Or, at least 2 CD/ECE units and continuation in College until 6 units are completed.
Pay Rate: $8.00/hr
An aide will work under the supervision of a fully qualified teacher at all times. Aides will assist in the care and supervision of a group of up to 18 children. Overall it is your job to interact with the children. Most of your time will be spent on the ground playing, communicating, assisting, and supervising the children. You are expected to act in a professional manner when working with children, parents, teachers and assistants. You will assist the Teacher in the daily routines and needs of the children.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TEACHER
Position: Preschool Teacher
Qualifications:
18 years of age or older
CPR/First Aid certified
12 units in ECE/CD
6mo work experience in a licensed or comparable center
OR a CDA preschool level credential and 6mo exp.
OR a CCTC permit at the Associate Teacher level or higher.
Pay Rate: $10/hr start
Job Description: Teachers will be responsible for the care of a group of 12 children. And, up to 18 children with the assistance of a qualified Aide. Teachers will be responsible for a primary care group of no more than nine children at a time.
Job Duties:
Run and maintain a preschool classroom
Provide, loving, supportive, and enthusiastic care to all children
Document children’s development
Create individual curriculum plans for the children in your primary care group
Work with a Co-Teacher to create appropriate classroom curriculum plans, developed through the observation of the children.
Provide age appropriate, creative activities that facilitate the children’s development
Provide a large group experience for the children, including reading a daily story
Assist children in difficult situations or disputes
Use positive discipline
Encourage children’s communication at all times
Encourage children’s curiosity and natural desire to learn
See to the daily needs of the children (napping, feeding, diapering, toileting)
Supervise any Aides or Assistants in the classroom
Act as a positive role model for Aides, children and parents
Attend all staff meetings, and trainings
Provide parents with support and information, and treat them with kindness and respect
Hold parent conferences at parent request or at least every four months
Maintain confidentiality
Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Staff Handbook

Position: Preschool Head Teacher/ Assistant Director: Preschool Head Teacher/ Assistant Director
Qualifications:
15 CD/ECE units, including 3 units in supervision/staff relations
4 years experience in a licensed (or comparable) program
OR an AA in CD/ECE and at least 2 year experience in a licensed program
OR a BA in CD/ECE and at least 1 year experience in a licensed program
OR a CCTC Child Development site supervisor permit
CPR/First Aid certified
Job Description:Head Teachers will be responsible for a group of 12 children. And, up to 18 children with an assistant. Head Teachers will also act as an Assistant Director in the absence of the Director. Assistant Directors will be trained in, and aware of all center operations and procedures.
Job Duties:Head Teachers will be responsible for all duties outlined in the Teacher Job Description
In addition: Head Teacher/Assistant Directors will be responsible for the operation of the center in the absence of the Director, and MUST:
Be present at the center during all hour of operation
Be aware of a comply with all licensing regulations
Communicate with the licensing agency when information must be changed or reported
Correct situations that pose an immediate threat to the children
Accept and document payment of tuition/refunds
Be aware of and implement all admission/withdrawal/termination procedures
Be aware of and implement all policies and procedures in regards to employees including the hiring process and grounds for immediate dismissal
Report daily to the Director about important information, changes, or decisions.

Job Description:Directors will be responsible for the operation of the center, including but not limited to handling all employee issues and procedures, enrolling/dismissing students, meeting licensing regulations, and controlling finances. Directors will be trained in, and aware of all center operations and procedures.
Job Duties:
Directors will be responsible for all duties outlined in the Teacher Job Description if they also serve as a Teacher.
In addition Directors MUST:
Be present at the center during all hour of operation
Be aware of a comply with all licensing regulations
Communicate with the licensing agency when information must be changed or reported
